Basic Meat
Broth
Description:
This is a basic beef broth used in many
recipes.
Ingredients:
soup meat, 2.5 pound, cubed
vegetable oil, 3 Tablespoons
soup bones...cracked
salt, 1 Tablespoon
water, 4 pints
Instructions:
In a large sauce pan lightly brown meat
and bones in oil, drain. pour in the water, add salt and bring to a
boil.
Skim fat off top.
Cover saucepan, turn down heat and simmer , adding more water if necessary.
Cook until meat is tender enough to fall off the bones,
approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hrs.
