Mama's Fudge

Makes 1 •  From the kitchen of Annie

Ingredients

2 cups Sugar
2/3 cup Milk
1/4 cup Unsweetened Cocoa
1 tablespoon Corn Syrup
1/4 teaspoon Salt
3 tablespoons Butter
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
 

Directions

Stir together sugar, milk, corn syrup, and salt in a 2 quart saucepan. Bring mixture to a boiled over medium-high heat, cook until a candy. Thermometer registers 249 Degrees then Remove mixture from heat; add butter and let it melt (do not stir) Let cool to 10 to 15 min or until the pan is cool to the touch, Stir in Vanilla Beat Mixture with electronic mixer on medium for 2-3 min. or until mixture begins to loss its gloss working quickly pour fudge into a buttered 11-x 7 inch platter. Let cool for 15 min.
